My Name is Tank, and I've Been Suspended by Roger Goodell

Hello, Tank

Pacman Jones and Chris Henry today welcome another member to their "NFL players suspended for acting like complete idiots" support group...our old friend Tank Johnson. It has been announced today that Tank will be spectating for the first 8 games of the 2007 season. You'll remember Tank from his moonlighting gig as an arms dealer over the past couple of years, leading to an arrest, probation, a second arrest, and a 2-month jail stint. We feel for the poor, unwitting Oakland Raider at the bottom of the pile next to Tank in week 9...Tank may have learned some interesting tricks about fighting for balls while in the clink.

Oh, and:

After meeting with Goodell upon his release last month, Johnson said he was ready to accept whatever punishment Goodell handed down and that he wants to become the NFL's "Man of the Year," the player honored for being its best citizen. (source)

Good luck with that. Where can we place a wager betting the GDP of China against that happening? Betonsports.com?

We must say, we applaud the commish for making a mark in this arena. The NFL wasn't in need of a whole lot of fixing, but he's done a great job here. Our only question is who will be the first to be suspended for driving without a seatbelt. Click it or ticket. This conduct policy is only rivalled in it's sternness by the conduct policy OJ has drawn up for the real killers...
